	ABOUT THE MONK Christopher Hennelly is THE MONK. Everyone's got a story to tell and this is mine. It's told in the form of a one-man show! "Bring In Da Noise Bring In Da Monk" THE MONK is The youngest of 6 raised by an ex-nun and a cartoonist whose dreams were destroyed by poverty and the political upheaval of the 60’s. Dad turned to booze and Mom put all six kids in tights and screamed “DANCE!” Christopher pirouetted his way to the Metropolitan Opera House and wound up dancing with Baryishnikov at age 11. At 13 starred in the nationally televised ballet “Billy The Kid”. The Applause! The Music! The Dance!

	Chris had found the glory of God! But his mother found that he was a little light in his Capezio’s and ended his career and signed him up for soccer. Confused and fearful Chris made a deal with God. “ I will become Super Priest able to resist all temptation if you over look the fact I might be gay!” A few years later he headed of to the monastery to keep his commitment to God and became THE MONK. It was Times Square in 80’s. The Monk was a 19 year old virgin with a pure heart, a loving soul and a big mouth and he wouldn’t shut up. He also sang show tunes. Naturally the drunks, thieves and perverts wanted to kill him—and those just some of his fellow monks.
